Nannies Learn and Grow at International Nanny Training Day!

Apr 19, 2024 | Health & Safety, Parenting Advice

It had been 5 years since we last hosted an International Nanny Training Day event, and it was worth the wait!

On Saturday, April 13, more than 20 nannies visited A New England Nanny in Clifton Park to learn, be supported and be inspired.

After the agency staff welcomed the attendees, Janice Boyle got things started with a discussion on the importance of good communication, and how to communicate more effectively with both parents and the children that nannies for.

Then Mallorie Gerwitz discussed fun activities, minding the structure, and being comfortable with newborn care.

Next, Sara Martin covered the importance of mental health in the workplace, including an open discussion on the challenges that nannies face, tips on coping and self-care, stress reduction techniques, mental health resources, and more.

And after lunch, many nannies stayed for CPR training to boost their skills and increase their value to families.

A huge thank you to our sponsors for helping to make this event possible, including GTM Payroll Services for hosting the event in their training room, and to all the nannies who attended and made this year’s International Nanny Training Day a great success!
